Richmond Job Fair Press Conference

On September 30, 2017, a press conference was held at the Business Association of Richmond to announce the upcoming Richmond Job Fair 2017, scheduled to take place on November 29, 2017, at Aberdeen Square (Phase II) in Richmond.
At the time of the announcement, more than 30 employers had already confirmed their participation. The job openings covered positions in the food service and manufacturing industries, including kitchen staff, servers, drivers, food processing and packaging workers, production workers, and warehouse assistants.
The available job opportunities were not limited to Richmond. Positions were also offered across several areas in the Greater Vancouver region, including Surrey, Delta, Burnaby, and Port Coquitlam.
Distinguished guests attending the press conference included:
• Sunny Ho, Chairman of the Business Association of Richmond
• Gen Wong, Director and Spokesperson of the Business Association of Richmond
• William Tse, Director and Secretary-General of the BC Asian Restaurant Café Owners Association
• Lawyer Richard Lee
• Etab Saad, representative from MOSAIC
• Lonnie Belfer, representative from Avia Employment Services
The press conference highlighted the importance of collaboration between community organizations, employers, and employment service providers in creating job opportunities and supporting workforce development in the Greater Vancouver region.
